MACHINING
EMF is proud to have a substantial team of skilled and experienced machinists and programmers. We use Verisurf to verify all of our CNC programs, ensuring that we deliver high-quality precision parts with an excellent first pass yield.
WELDING
EMF possesses the ability to perform GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding), GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding), SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding), as well as gas and flux core processes, utilizing skilled freehand welding and CNC welding techniques. We are D17.1 certified for various aerospace clients and have multiple in-house Certified Welding Inspectors (CWIs) to ensure compliance with all welding standards and protocols.
TESTING
We possess the in-house capability to verify essential loads of up to 200,000 lbs., including direct, vertical, and multi-directional loads. The testing parameters encompass load, deflection, reaction, and pressure levels. Our experienced engineers write our custom proof load procedures to customer specifications and drawing requirements. Additionally, we provide annual proof loading services for various aerospace clients for lifting and critical equipment.
ASSEMBLY
EMF provides comprehensive service capabilities, ranging from design to the direct shipping of the final product to you! We possess assembly capabilities that encompass custom assembly, integration services, and on-site service, which includes removal and replacement, installation, refurbishing, press fittings, jig checks, riveting, matching existing products, retrofitting, upgrading, modifications, and integration into mechanical and electrical systems. EMF excels in the installation of components such as bearings, rivets, fasteners, and controls, as well as alignment, balancing, electrical bonding, grounding, non-metallic bonding, adhesive bonding, and thermal shrink-fit techniques.
SHEET METAL
EMF possesses a CNC press brake with a capacity of 150 tons and can handle sheets measuring up to 12 feet in length. Our rolling capabilities extend to materials that are up to ¼ inch thick and 8 feet wide. EMF takes pride in its distinctive bump forming skills, particularly with intricate flight hardware such as ISO and Ortho grids.
DESIGN
Sophisticated mechanical design solutions encompassing structural, pneumatic, automated, lifting structures, fixtures, and specialized environmental designs. Our comprehensive capabilities comprise design, integration, assembly, project management, consulting, reverse engineering, and rapid prototyping.
FINISHING
For in-house finishing, EMF has capabilities for chemical conversion coating, prime, paint, part marking, tagging, labeling, sandblasting, etching and cleaning. EMF also utilizes outside process vendors for specialized processes that necessitate customer-approved suppliers for finishes such as passivation, anodize, NDT, UT, and coatings.
